Was I supposed to realize that "Wan" in Pohl's _Beyond the Blue Event Horizon_ was really named Juan? I didn't get it when I first read the book years'n'years ago, and still didn't get it when reread it recently. Only when it was made explicit in _Heechee Rendezvous_, which I just read for the first time, did I understand.... more »

Without question, Brust's milieu for two important series of books comes from Robert Sloan's early D&D campaign. Steven has acknowledge this several times.
